SME fair starts in Rangpur today

Divisional SME merchandise fair will be held in the country's six regions to promote small and medium entrepreneurs and help them expand their businesses.
The trade shows will also help the entrepreneurs interact more with the consumers and get their feedbacks for developing new products and services.
The first of the six trade shows is beginning in Rangpur division today (Thursday), organiser of the event - the Small and Medium Enterprises Foundation (SMEF) - said in a statement on Wednesday.
According to it, the district administration will facilitate the trade fairs under the supervision of the divisional commissioners concerned.
During this month (March), four editions of the fair will be held in Rangpur, Khulna, Sylhet and Mymensingh divisions.
The first one, which is scheduled to begin at Rangpur Town Hall field today, will continue until March 30.
Officials of the Rangpur divisional administration along with SMEF Managing Director Dr. Md. Mofizur Rahman are expected to join its opening ceremony.
The fair at Khulna Circuit House Field will be held from March 26 to April 2, the Sylhet edition will be held at Alia Madrasa Maidan from March 26 to April 3, and at Mymensingh Town Hall Maidan from April 7 to April 13.
