SME helpline centre opened in WEAB head office

The Ministry of Industries has recently launched an SME helpline centre in the head office of Women Entrepreneurs Association of Bangladesh (WEAB) under a TA project of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) titled SME Sector Development Programme (SMESDP).
The key objectives of the centre is to provide assistance and advisory support services to facilitate access of the SMEs to government services, act as a depository of information to provide the SMEs with strategies and in some cases with operational knowledge to help the women entrepreneurs to run their businesses profitably.
Ministry of Industries Additional Secretary Mohammad Ayub Miah inaugurated the centre as the chief guest while Deputy Secretary Yeamen Akbari was present on the occasion as the special guest.
