SMS facility for info on polling stations from tomorrow

The SMS facility will start for voters tomorrow (Saturday) through which they can get to know their respective polling stations ahead of the three city corporations' elections, slated for April 28, reports UNB.
Voters who need to know which polling station they have to cast their vote it can send a message to 16103 from any mobile operator to know the voting location, said a press release of the Election Commission Secretariat.
To know the polling station, the voters having 17-digit National Identity (NID) Number will have to send the message to 16103 typing PC(space)NID Number in the text, while the electors having 13-digit NID Number will need to write PC(space)year of birth (no space) NID Number in the text.
But the fresh voters who are yet to get NID card will need to type PC(space)slip no of voter registration form(space)date of birth in day-month-year format in the text and will have to send the SMS to the same 16103.
In return message, the voters will know their voting location.
Besides, the electors can also know their polling station visiting the site www.ec.org.bd or www.nidw.gov.bd as well as calling to 03590123456.
