SOCIAL ISLAMI BANK FORMS NEW BOARD

Social Islami Bank recently formed a new board and its first meeting was held on Wednesday at the bank's head office to safeguard depositors' interest and ensure good governance. Dr. M. Sadiqul Islam, professor of the Department of Finance at University of Dhaka, was elected as chairman, and Md. Anisul Hoque, a representative of Hamdard Laboratories (Waqf) Bangladesh, was elected as vice-chairman at the meeting. Bangladesh Bank reformed the board of the bank on Sunday for ensuring good governance. With the formation of the new board, clients begin to regain trust, which led to a deposit increase in the financial institution, says the press release of the bank.
