Sohrab Hossain laid to rest

Eminent musician and Nazrul Sangeet exponent Sohrab Hossain was laid to eternal rest on Friday, reports UNB.
He was buried at Martyred Intellectuals' Graveyard at Mirpur following a Namaz-e-Janaza at Mohammadpur Iqbal Road mosque after Juma'a prayers.
Earlier, the body of Sohrab Hossain who passed away on Thursday at the age of 91 was taken to the Central Shaheed Minar at about 11.00 am where people from all walks of life paid their last respects to him.
Sohrab Hossain was born on April 9, 1922 in Ayeshtala village near Ranaghat in Nadia district in West Bengal of India.
BSS report adds: Prime Minister (PM) Sheikh Hasina Friday paid tribute to eminent Nazrul Sangeet singer Sohrab Hossain.
On behalf of the PM, her private secretary Saifuzzaman Shekhor placed wreath on the coffin of Sohrab Hossain at the Central Shaheed Minar, PM's Press Secretary Abul Kalam Azad said.
