Mohammed Solaiman has unanimously been elected chairman of Mercantile Insurance Company Limited.
He was elected at the 111th board of directors' meeting of the company in the city recently, said a press release.
He is also the chairman of the executive committee of Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited.
Solaiman, son of late Ahmedur Rahman, was born in a respectable Muslim family of Patiya in Chittagong district.
