Strapya Next Co. is a Japanese online cell phone strap and accessory shop which started selling this "Solar Charger ECO Cell Phone Strap" this past February. This new natural energy harnesser is sure to impress environmentalists. It features a small solar cell which is capable of capturing power from the sun to charge your cellular phone. Although not quite as effective as an actual power adapter, this device can offer up to 3 hours of energy on the go after being exposed to about 6-10 hours of sun light. It also contains an AC connector socket at the bottom, to also be charged using an AC adapter for cell phones. The connector on top of the device is attached to the any cell phone through an adapter and is rechargeable up to 500 times.
The device is smaller than an ipod and only runs around 1,900 yen and approximately $17.54. It is one of the most notably least-expensive ways to help save the planet and not lose an important phone call due to dead battery.
