Solar power brings relief to Jessore villagers

JESSORE, Nov 9: Solar power provided by Sheba Bandhon Kalyan Society (Shebok) has changed the lifestyles of a total of 223 families at 20 villages under 5 upazilas in Jessore.
This people are using solar power instead of electricity at rural areas in Jessore. They are using electric bulbs and other facilities at minimal costs.
Daulat Khan, coordinator, Shebok told FE that the NGO has distributed a total of 223 solar power plants at 20 villages under Jessore sadar, Monirampur, Sharsha and Abhaynagar upazilas in Jessore among rural people who were out of the reach of electricity.
