Solve the server problem of National University

Friday, 25 October 2024

The National University serves as a vital means of higher education for many talented students from underprivileged backgrounds in the country. Established on October 21, 1992, the National University ranks fourth among the largest universities in the world in terms of students enrollment. Approximately 3.2 million students are enrolled in 2,283 colleges affiliated with this university. Of these, 857 colleges offer undergraduate (Honours) courses, with more than 420,000 available seats. Post-graduate courses are offered at 145 colleges.
At present, the National University offers four-year Honours and one-year Post-Graduate (Master's) courses. It also offers three-year Bachelor's (Pass) courses, two-year Preliminary to Masters courses, four-year Bachelor's (Honours) professional courses, as well as opportunities to pursue higher degrees like Ph.D., M.Phil., and D.Litt.
The National University has a dynamic website, but the server has been causing frequent problems. Every year, complications arise at the time of publication of results or list of candidates for admission. Recently, when the 1st merit list for admission to the 2023-2024 academic year Bachelor's (Pass) courses was released, most students were unable to access the results due to server problems. Even on the second day of the list's release, around 20 per cent of students didn't find the result. We, therefore, urge the authorities concerned to address and resolve the server problem at the National University as soon as possible.
