Soma Ray, eminent Rabindra Sangeet singer, arrived Dhaka Sunday on a three-day visit, said an Indian High Commission press release.
Soma Ray, a talented young artist from Shantiniketan, India, is one of the very few artists of Rabindra Sangeet to be nurtured by the renowned Rabindra Sangeet legend, Kanika Banerjee.
She was one of the favourites of her Guru and accompanied her in all her performing tours in India and abroad. Soma Ray has given numerous performances in India and South Asia. She has also visited Dhaka earlier in 1994 and performed at National Museum.
