Some ministries get fresh ADP allocation

Some ministries have received a fresh allocation of Tk 53.30 billion for implementation of ADP projects at the fag end of the current fiscal year on surrendering Tk 47.6 billion unimplemented project money.
Officials said the Planning Minister on Tuesday approved the fresh allocation, which is 46 percent of the amount sought by the ministries.
The recipient ministries include local government, primary education, communications, which had sought Tk 116 billion after surrendering Tk 47.6 billion to the commission.
Officials said the Planning Commission will release the money from its Tk 560 million block fund for the projects that could be implemented before the end of fiscal 2009-10.
The commission held a meeting with the secretaries of all ministries on May 6 and asked to surrender the money of those projects by May 15 to apply for reallocation for the projects that can be implemented in a short time.
