National Prof Kabir Chowdhury said the actual education meant acquiring humanness. He also said the genuine art was what someone could attain with much pleasure, feelings and attention.
He made the observations while speaking at the publication ceremony of a book titled 'Somoyer Rajkumari' (Princess of Time) by UK expatriate Farah Majid Sadodha at the National Press Club October 23.
Asiatic Society Chairman Sirajul Islam, Bangla Academy Director General Syed Md Shahed, Chief Editor of Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS) Jaglul Ahmad Chowdhury, among others, spoke at the function with Syed Ahamad Ali Aziz in the chair.
Speakers said Farah Majid Sadodha has composed an autobiographic art of speech in monologue format in the book, Somoyer Rajkumari.
Sanskrit Department Prof of Dhaka University (DU) Niranjan Odhikari presented the keynote paper on the new book at the function with Masum Billah in moderation.
