Son kills father

A man was killed allegedly by his son at Rola village under Rajapur Upazila of Jhalakathi district on Monday. Police said, Kamal Hawlader, 25, asked his father Siraj Hawlader for money in the morning. As the poor father refused to give money, Kamal engaged in an altercation with his father and left the home. However, Kamal returned home in the afternoon and again asked his father for money which he refused. Being refused, Kamal picked up a stick and hit his father with it, leaving him seriously injured. Siraj died on way to Barisal Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital, according to a news agency.
