Son kills mother in Mymensingh

A mother was allegedly killed by her drug addicted son in Gafargoan Upazila in Mymensingh district on Wednesday afternoon. The victim was Joshna Khatun, 50, wife of Abul Kashem resident of Bhara Madhyapara village under the same area. Officer-in-charge of Gafargoan Police Station M Abu Obaid Khan said Mofazzol Hossain, 28, asked for money to his mother Joshna. As the poor mother refused to give money, Mofazzol chopped his mother to death on the spot in Bhara Madhyapara village. Later, Mofazzol was handed over to police. Police recovered the body and sent it to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital for autopsy, according to a news agency.
