Sonagazi Juba League leader stabbed dead, another injured

A leader of Juba League, the youth affiliate of Awami League, was stabbed to death by unknown assailants at Sonagazi Upazila in Feni district on Wednesday. The dead is Jasim Uddin, 35, president of the Jubo League’s Ward No. 9 unit under Char Darbesh union in Sonagazi. A gang of miscreants, equipped with sharp weapons, swooped on Jasim and another local Jubo League leader Sumon at Adarsha village under Char Darbesh union in the morning, local people said. They stabbed Jasim indiscriminately and also attacked Sumon who was with him. Jasim died on the spot, according to private TV channels.
