Sonali Bank holds first AGM

Sonali Bank Limited held its first annual general meeting (AGM) Saturday at its head office in the city, says a press release.
Chairman of the board of directors and secretary of Cabinet Division, Ali Imam Majumder was in the chair. All directors, CEO and Managing Director of the bank SA Chowdhury and Company Secretary Zahid Hossain were present.
The meeting discussed the financial position of the bank as on December 31, 2007. Balance sheet and annual report were approved at the meeting. Appointment of the auditors until next AGM and their remuneration were also decided in the meeting.
The board of directors instructed the authorities to take necessary steps including long-term plan to improve performances.
The meeting expressed the view that the Bank was proceeding to the right direction as per the long term business plan commencing from 2008 to achieve its desired goals.
