Sonali Bank to disburse Tk 5,33,50,000 in Nilphamari in 2007-'08

NILPHAMARI, Oct 30: Sonali Bank has set a target of Tk 5,33,50,000 as agriculture loan to be disbursed among the farmers of Nilphamari district in the fiscal year 2007-08.
The bank will disburse the amount through its 10 branches in six upazilas of the district.
Bank sources said in the first two months of the current fiscal year in July and August they disbursed Tk 15,97,000 which amounted to three per cent of the total disbursement target. Sources said in the year 2006-07 the bank achieved 40% per cent of its total investment target.
