Sonali Bank's 117 branches automated

As a part of Sonali Bank's ongoing automation process, its 117 branches are presently rendering computerised banking services, 460 branches are within process of computerisation under three-year planning (2006-08), and 45 branches have been selected for providing online banking service immediately.
Under the first phase of its 100-branch computerisation programme, the bank organised a five-day training course on "desktop-e-banking software" at its Information Technology Division (ITD) in the city recently.
MD of the bank SM Aminur Rahman inaugurated the programme, where twenty-four computer in-charges of the branches concerned participated.
Among others, the bank's General Manager of ITD Prodip Kumar Dutta and DGM Nikhil Krishna Saha, and DGM of Marketing and Development Division Showkat Ali Khan also spoke on the occasion.
