Sony Ericsson Sunday launched four new accessible mobile handsets with FM Radio facilities.
These are K200i, K220i, J110i and J120i. Of the four, the K200i and K220i are both camera phones, whilst the K220i again and the J120i bring music into an affordable segment with integrated FM Radios, complete with Stereo Headphones.
"FM radio is a new sensation in the country, especially for the youth. People love to listen to music in FM," said Neeraj Bansal, head of market units for Bangladesh and Sri Lanka of Sony Ericsson, at a press conference in the city.
He expressed the hope that the new range of affordable, FM enabled phones would meet customer expectation in Bangladesh.
The "VGA camera" and photo album are immediately accessible with just one click on the dedicated button of the K200i with a slideshow view and storing capacity up to 40 images at a time. The initial market price of K200i will be Tk 5,825.
Another handset of the same model has the advantage of an integrated FM radio with RDS. It can store up to 10 pre-set stations and provide an FM wake-up call when a station is set on the Radio Alarm Clock. The initial market price will be Tk 6,380.
Besides, J110i model handset has large legible keys and easy navigation with the facilities of one-click access to commonly used features.
The J110i model has enough stamina and storage capacity to keep one in touch giving up to nine hours' talk time and room for up to 200 phone numbers, said Afzalul Hasan, senior marketing manager of Sony Ericsson,
He further said J110i is a robust, solid phone with chrome detail and a bright 65k color STN screen and comes in Smooth Grey or Precious Purple and its initial market price will be BDT 3,649.
Another handset of the same model J120i has same features with the added benefit of a built-in FM Radio that allows to store up to 10 favourite channels plus a Stereo Headset that's supplied with the phone.
With radio alarm clock, it has a loudspeaker facility. The initial market price will be Tk 3,999.
