Southeast Bank holds w'shop on remittance payment system

A workshop on 'Remittance Payment System' was organised for the officers of Southeast Bank Ltd at the bank's training institute in the city recently.
M Serajul Islam, executive director of the bank, inaugurated the workshop as the chief guest.
Mr Islam, in his speech, emphasised better customer services for attracting foreign remittance from wage-earners to facilitate the bank's foreign trade as well as to boost national economic growth.
SM Mainuddin Chowdhury, senior executive vice president (SEVP) and head of IT, Shahid Hossain, SEVP and head of HRD, logistics and general banking, Mustafizur Rahman, senior vice president (SVP) and head of training and marketing, Md Amir Hossain Bhuian, senior assistant vice president, and Syed Salahuddin, principal officer, attended the workshop and spoke on the occasion.
The speakers laid emphasis on setting a standard payment system to mobilise more foreign remittances through banking channel, according to a press release.
