Southeast University hosts seminar on rehabilitation for disability care

Southeast University (SEU)'s Institute of Research & Training (IRT) recently organised a special seminar on the role of rehabilitation as a major part of the care required for the disabled.
The seminar was held on the university's Multipurpose Hall on Tuesday, according to a press release.
The programme was attended by renowned humanitarian and CRP Founder & Coordinator Valerie A. Taylor. In her speech, she noted that Centre for the Rehabilitation of the Paralysed (CRP) is quite eager to collaborate with university academics and students to create new and low-cost technology to assist more people with disability.
The event was presided over by Prof. Yusuf Mahbubul Islam, PhD, vice chancellor of SEU, and moderated by Dr. Hasnat M Alamgir, director, IRT, who highlighted the role of research and academic initiatives in advancing disability care and rehabilitation practices in Bangladesh.
