Soyabean oil and winter
Friday, 9 December 2011
The heading of a report in the 'Business Section' of a local English daily, published on November 26, titled 'Rise in soyabean oil price' seemed rather confusing to me. One wonders, what winter has got to do with price rise of soyabean oil?
It would have been logical for kerosene or fuel oils. Even mustard oil, which many people rub on their skins and bask in winter sunshine, may have its price going up, but why soyabean oil?
Or is it that we also rub soyabean oil on our skins during winter? This is something new for me. Readers' views and opinion about this price rise of soyabean oil, may throw some light on the matter.
