Spanish envoy meets DU VC

Spanish Ambassador to Bangladesh Arturo Perez Martinez called on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor AAMS Arefin Siddique Wednesday at the latter's office, says a press release.
The ambassador was accompanied by his wife Kayoko Takagi de Perez, Deputy Head of Mission Eduardo Romero, visiting Lecturer of Institute of Modern Languages of Dhaka University Francisco Ramos Pastor and Lecturer of the same Institute Abdullah Rafiq-Um Munir Chowdhury were present on the occasion.
During the meeting they discussed matters of mutual interest, specially the possibilities of strengthening collaborative academic programme and exchanging teachers, students and researchers between Dhaka University and universities in Spain.
Besides, they also discussed ways of expanding Spanish Literature and Language courses at the Institute of Modern Languages of DU. The ambassador presented some books to Arefin Siddique for the use of students, researchers and teachers of the Institute of Modern Languages at DU.
