Speaker addresses on MIPAA review at UN today

Jatiya Sangsad Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury, MP, as a panel discussant, is expected to address on "Global review of the outcome of the Third review and appraisal of the Madrid International Plan of Action on Ageing (MIPAA), 2002", today (Wednesday), reports BSS.
The two-day panel discussion on the MIPAA started on Tuesday at 'the 56th Session of the Commission on Social Development (CSD) at the United Nations' headquarters at New York, said an official release. Dr Sharmin will present the decision and global outcome of the third review on the MIPAA taken in the meeting of the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP).
A high powered panel discussion involving five regional commissions of the UN has been designed to implement the decision taken in the Madrid plan of action as part of the decision of reviewing the plan of action in every five years.
