Speaker, Dy Speaker, Chief Whip condole Amjad\\\'s death

Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury has expressed deep shock at the death of former minister Sarder Amjad Hossain. In a message of condolence, the Speaker said the country has lost a devoted politician at his demise. Senior politician Sardar Amjad Hossain died of heart ailment at a Dhaka hospital on Friday afternoon at the age of 75. He breathed his last at 3:00pm at the Coronary Care Unit (CCU) of Apollo Hospitals at Basundhara in the city. His son Saniat Hossain said, Amjad Hossain was admitted to the hospital after he suffered a heart attack at his Gulshan residence on Tuesday. Amjad was also the presidium member of the Jatiya Party. On June 1, 2005, he returned to Awami League. Meanwhile, in separate messages, Deputy Speaker M Fazley Rabbi Mia, Chief Whip of the Jatiya Sangsad ASM Feroz and Textiles and Jute Minister Muhammad Imaj Uddin Pramanik have expressed their profound shock at the death Sarder Amjad. They prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members, according to a news agency.
