Friday, 7 February 2014

CHITTAGONG: Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury Friday said she has been working to create a healthy environment of constructive discussion in Parliament.
“I’ve been working for creating healthy atmosphere in Parliament for constructive discussion, criticism and debate in line with the Constitution,” she told reporters after inaugurating the Rotary International District-3282 Conference here.
Asked how the 10th parliament will be effective in the absence of a major political party like BNP, she said the present parliament was formed with people’s mandate to uphold the constitution and to continue the democratic process. This parliament will be kept effective, according to a news agency.
