Speakers call for urgent steps to resist HIV/AIDS

RANGPUR, Nov 17 (BSS): Speakers at a workshop here have urged the public representatives, professionals, social workers, government, non-governmental and voluntary organisations to accelerate their activities to check the spread of HIV/AIDS.
Mithapukur Upazila Health Complex (MUHC) authorities with the assistance of the local NGOs organised the workshop at MUHC auditorium on "Role of Administration, Journalists, Public Representatives and Elite in Checking Spread of HIV/AIDS Among the Vulnerable Groups" on Wednesday.
Chaired by family planning officer of MUHC Dr Shahjahan, the workshop was attended by Professor Anwarul Islam and Dr Mahbub Hassan as the resource persons.
