Speakers for bringing transgender people into mainstream dev

JAMALPUR, Oct 12 (BSS): Speakers at a meeting said the government has taken all necessary steps to bring the transgender people (Hijra) into the mainstream development like other backward people.
They (Hijra) are becoming self reliant through the implementation of various income generating programmes of the government.
They came up with the remarks while addressing the annual meeting of the Unnayan Sangstha at at Deurpar Chandra under Sadar upazila of Jamalpur.
Deputy Commissioner of Jmalapur Md Shafiur Rahman was present as chief guest at the meeting with the President of the executive body of the organisation Md Moazzem Hossain in the chair.
Chairman of Jamalpur Sadar Upazila Parishad Md Abul Hossain, Additional Superintendent of Police Md Sohrab Hossain, Executive Director of the Unnayan Sangha Md Rafiqul Alam.
