Special court frames charges against medics

A special BDR court Monday started framing charges against 256 personnel of the border force's hospital unit at their Pilkhana headquarters for siding with the mutineers on February 25 to 26, 2009, reports bdnews24.com.
The hearing started around 10.30 am at the court at Pilkhana BDR headquarters' Darbar Hall in presence of all the accused personnel.
Trial of the hospital unit personnel started on April 28 and was adjourned on April 29 after the prosecutor, Lt Col S MA Al Muyid, presented the charges against the accused. The framing of charges was scheduled for November 22.
He accused 84 members of being directly involved in the rebellion, 16 members of defying the commander's order, as many of them did not come forward to save officers of the unit and 55 others of leaving the unit without permission of the commander.
