Specialists for the regulatory commission

Monday, 17 March 2008

THE regulatory commission, set up by the government, to update regulations, should be able to draw expertise from different available sources. The composition of the commission indicates that it would need the services of specialists. Most of its current members, drawn from the civil service are generalists. Induction of specialists from different fields would benefit the commission. The specialists know the latest developments and can give them advice on such matter.
The commission will need to simplify and reduce the regulations to the minimum, specially related to business. The simplified regulations on business will ensure that entrepreneurs and investors pay heed to the regulations.
