A series of Spice mobile handsets has been launched in the city Monday with the aim to grab a large share of the country's cell phone market.
"The Spice Mobiles Ltd introduced its mobile phones in Nepal last year and now in Bangladesh," Kunal Ahooja, chief executive officer of the company, said at the ceremony.
The market share of Spice mobiles is increasing rapidly in India having some consumer-friendly special features and devices in the handsets, he added.
Inspired by rising demand for its products, the company, a part of Indian multinational company Spice Corporation having a global market worth $1.4 billion, plans to expand its operations in other neighbouring countries.
