S'pore-Bangladesh joint venture co to invest $6.11m in Mongla EPZ

M/s Eastern Petroleum Bangladesh Limited, a Singapore-Bangladesh joint venture company, is going to establish a bitumen bailing plant in Mongla Export Processing Zone (EPZ).
The company will invest US$6.11 million in setting up the plant and will produce asphalt/bitumen.
In this connection, an agreement was signed between the Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) and the M/s Eastern Petroleum Bangladesh Limited in the city Thursday, said a press release.
Member (Investment Promotion) of the BEPZA Prasanta Bhushan Barua and Chairman of M/s Eastern Petroleum Bangladesh Syed Serajul Huq signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations.
The company will create employment opportunities for 426 persons including six foreign nationals, the release added.
