S’pore names orchid after Hasina

SINGAPORE, Mar 13 (UNB): The Singapore government has named an orchid after Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina making her visit to Singapore as a memorable one.
Sheikh Hasina on Tuesday morning unveiled the orchid named 'Dendrobium Sheikh Hasina' at National Orchid Garden of Singapore Botanical Garden, a Unesco world heritage site.
Group Director of Singapore Botanic Gardens Dr Nigel Taylor C Hort handed over the orchid to the prime minister at a function.
Prime Minister's nephew Radwan Mujib Siddiq Bobby along with his wife and two children were present.
Talking to reporters, the Prime Minister said it is great honour for Bangladesh. "I dedicate this honour to the people of Bangladesh. I'm really delighted coming here."
On Sunday last, the Prime Minister arrived in Singapore at the invitation of her Singaporean counterpart Lee Hsein Loong.
