Sports journalist Musabbir Sadi passes away

Al Musabbir Sadi, General Secretary of Bangladesh Football Federation and also a senior member of Bangladesh Sports Journalists' Association (BSJA) died of liver cancer at Square Hospital in the capital Friday morning. He was 44, reports UNB. He left behind his wife, two sons and a host of relatives to mourn his death. He will be laid to rest at Mirpur intellectuals' graveyard after his namaj-e-janaza at Bangabandhu National Stadium today (Saturday) at 12:00 noon. Bangladesh Sports Journalists' Association (BSJA) and Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) expressed deep shock at the death of Sadi and prayed for the salvation of the departed soul. Sadi worked as sports reporter of the Independent and the Daily Star from 1995 to 2009. He was appointed General Secretary of Bangladesh Football Federation in 2009.
