Sports Minister to give reception to gold winners

Taekwondo players-Mizanur Rahman and Rasiul Kabir-who won gold medals in the 5th Korea Open International Taekwondo Championship called on State Minister for Youth and Sports Ahad Ali Sarker today at his National Sports Council office here, report BSS.
The Taekwondo meet was held in Incheon, South Korea from August 18 to 22.
Mizanur Rahman who clinched gold medal in the 10th SA Games in Colombo beat Mubasir Ali of Pakistan in the below 87-KG weight category to capture the coveted gold medal in Korea.
While Rasiul defeated another Pakistani Mujahid in the over 87-KG weight category to win his gold medal in Korean meet.
Sports Minister congratulated both the players for their feat and urged them to bring more laurels for the country in the coming SA Games in Dhaka in January 2010.
He said if every sports organizer of all the sports federation work sincerely then there is possibility of winning the gold medals in each and every disciplines in the forthcoming SA Games.
A three-member Bangladesh contingent took part in the championship participated by about 800 players from 53 different countries.
