Spot assessment of income tax starts in Syedpur

NILPHAMARI, Apr 28: On the direction of National Board of Revenue (NBR), Rangpur zone Income tax Head Office started the process of spot assessment of income tax across the zone. As a part of the process Syedpur circle income tax office arranged spot assessment at Syedpur plaza recently. Presided over by Inspecting Joint Commissioner Rangpur zone Riazul Islam, the meeting was attended among others by tax commissioner Rangpur zone Md. Belal Uddin as chief guest, Nilphamari chamber of commerce and industry president Abdul Wahed Sirkar, importer and exporters Alhaj Noor Islam, Alhaj Intiaz, Alhaj Zubear and others. Earlier the meeting was ceremonially opened by tax commissioner Rangpur zone Md. Belal Uddin. The speakers in the meeting highlighted the importance of paying income tax and requested the taxable persons to pay income tax as a binding duty of a citizen. The speakers also mentioned that income tax payers are the worthy citizens of the country as they contribute substantially to the overall development of the country.
