Spurious fertiliser seized in Jessore

JESSORE, Mar 19 (UNB): A joint team of district taskforce, police and RAB members in a drive in the Kismat Nouapara area of Sadar Upazila seized a truck loaded with adulterated fertiliser and arrested three people early Saturday.
The arrestees were identified as Imdad Hossain, owner of Three Star Fertiliser Factory, Imdadul, son of Khalilur Rahman and Ohidur Rahman, son of Younus Gazi.
Acing on secret information, the joint team raided the area late at night and arrested Imdadul and Ohidul along with the fertiliser laden truck.
Later, following the confessional statement of the two arrestees the joint team arrested Imdad Hossain from the same area.
The team recovered 150 sacks of adulterated Gypsum, 150 sacks of Dolomite, 30 sacks of Ammonia sulphate, 25 sacks of Magnesium fertiliser from the truck.
A case was filed in this connection.
