Spurious ghee making factory unearthed, 6 held

CHITTAGONG, Aug 12: Ahead of the holy month of Ramadan, a section of unscrupulous traders are resorting to adulteration of certain consumer goods in absence of adequate vigilance by the concerned agencies.
Meanwhile, the law enforcers have unearthed an adulterated ghee manufacturing factory in Fatepur area under Hathazari Upazila and arrested five persons in this connection. Vigorous investigation and searching are now underway to nab the owner of the factory, sources said.
Refusing their prayer for bail the court sent the five employees and the micro-bus driver of the spurious ghee-manufacturing factory, to the jail hazat.
