SQ Chy, Obaidul Kader released on bail

BNP leader Salahuddin Quader Chowdhury and Awami League joint general secretary Obaidul Kader were released on bail Friday, reports UNB.brJail sources said Salahuddin Quader Chowdhury was released from Kashimpur Jail in Gazipur at about 1145am while Obaidul Kader from BSMMU about at 1215pm.brSQ Chowdhury was received by his wife and son at the jail gate.brAfter the release, SQ Chowdhury told the newsmen that it was a normal matter for a politician to go to the jail.brHe mentioned that while he (SQ Chowdhury) was sent to the jail, the price of per kg rice was at Tk 16 but now the price stood at Tk 40. We who were in power under the four-party alliance are not responsible for the price hike, he said. brSQ Chowdhury was arrested on February 4, 2007. Obaidul Kader was arrested on March 7 last year.br
