SQ Chy to surrender before lower court

Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Lawmaker Salahuddin Quader Chowdhury, has to surrender before the lower court in a money laundering case to seek bail as the Supreme Court Tuesday sustained an earlier High Court (HC) order in this regard, reports UNB.
On May 6, the Anti-corruption Commission (ACC) filed a criminal case against Mr Chowdhury on charges of money laundering.
Toufiqul Islam, ACC assistant director, filed the case with Dhanmondi police station.
According to the case, Chowdhury had transferred a substantial amount of foreign currency from Hong Kong to the UK on September 5 in 2005.
