Square Textiles okays 16pc cash dividend and 15pc bonus

Square Textiles Ltd. approved cash dividend at the rate of 16% and Stock Dividend (Bonus Share) at the rate 15% to its shareholders for the year ended December 31, 2009.
The approval came at the 15th Annual General Meeting held at the Factory Premises, Sardaganj, Kashimpur, Gazipur Wednesday.
The AGM was presided over by the Chairman of the Company Mr. Samson H. Chowdhury. Dr. Kazi Harunar Rashid, Director; Mr. Tapan Chowdhury Managing Director; Mr. Kazi lqbal Harun, Director; Mr. Md. Kabir Reza, Director (A&F) and Mr. Khandaker Habibuzzaman, Company Secretary also attended the meeting.
The gross profit, net profit (Before Tax) and net profit (After Tax) for the year 2009 were Tk. 533.37 million, Tk. 311.77 million and Tk. 260.63 million respectively.
The company contributed an amount of Tk. 65.10 million to the National Exchequer. The company contributed substantially to the Foreign Exchange Reserve of the country through its marketing operation during 2009. This amounted to Tk. 1,327.74 million.
The Board of Directors appreciates the performance of the officers, staff and workers whose untiring efforts helped to optimize the profit of the Company.
