Advocate Mujibur Rahman (90), senior lawyer, former minister of East Pakistan Government and founding chairman of Ibne Sina Trustee Board, passed away at a city hospital Thursday due to old age complications.
He left behind his wife, three sons, four daughters and many well-wishers to mourn his death.
He was buried at Banani graveyard Friday after a largely attended Namaj-e-Janaza at Baitul Aman Mosque in Dhanmondi after Jum'a Prayers.
He was the founding chairman of Ibne Sina Pharmaceuticals and Ibne Taimiya Trust of Comilla, the responsibility he carried out with outmost dedication until his death.
Mr Rahman was the founding Principal of Comilla Law College, and was also a former president of Bangladesh Saudi Arabia Brotherhood Society.
Adv Rahman was also the founding chairman of Makka-based International Islamic donor agency Rabita Al-Alam Al-Islami, Bangladesh Chapter and was the chairman of Fuad Al-Khateeb Charity Foundation.
Adv Mujibur Rahman was born in a reputed Muslim family at Hajiganj in Chandpur district in 1923.
His second son Dr Masukur Rahman is settled in United States and his youngest son Barrister Masudur Rahman is a Bangladesh Supreme Court lawyer.
