SR Shipping procures two new ships

CHATTOGRAM, Oct 16: SR Shipping Limited, a concern of KSRM Group, procured two new ships from Japan to carry super-max and handi-max bulks recently. They named the newly-procured ships as Ibrahim Jahan and Jahan Brothers-2.
Sources said, SR Shipping Ltd procured their first ship named Fatema Jahan in 2004. Before procuring Ibrahim Jahan and Jahan Brothers-2, SR Shipping had a total of 18 ships in its fleet. After procuring the two new ships, the number of its ships increased to 20.
"Earlier, we had 18 ships and now we have 20 ships to carry cargoes. We have already taken the ownerships of the two newly-procured ships, said Meherul Karim, Chief Executive Officer of KSRM Group.
"We are equipping our ships with first class insurance of machinery and standard of P & I Club Covering Classification," Meherul Karim said.
Deputy Managing Director of SR Shipping Sarwar Jahan said: "Our newly-procured ships will help carry the bulk cargoes easily. The ships will also save our foreign currencies for carrying cargoes." It may be mentioned that SR Shipping started its journey in shipping lines trade from 2004.
