The Sramik Dal central office housed in the BNP headquarters was also badly damaged. Witnesses said the Sramik Dal unit councillors cast their votes from 10am to 3pm at the BNP’s central office to elect their leaders. Sumon Bhuiyan and Kazi Amir Khasru vied for the post of president while Badrul Alam Sabuj and Mahbubul Alam Badal for the post of general secretary of Sramik Dal Dhaka City South unit.
