Sramik Dal to hold May Day rally at Suhrawardy Udyan

Jatiyatabadi Sramik Dal, the workers’ front of BNP, is going to hold a rally in the historic Suhrawardy Udyan in the capital Thursday in observance of the May Day.
BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia will be present as the chief guest at the rally to be held at 3pm on May 1, Sramik Dal general secretary Jafrul Hasan told UNB.
Sramik Dal sought permission on April 22 from the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) for arranging the rally at Suhrawardy Udyan on the May Day.
Though the DMP authorities are yet to give them permission, the Sramik Dal leader expressed the hope that they’ll get the permission in time.
