The conference of Bangladesh Jatiya Sramik League (BJSL), a national trade union body of the ruling Awami League, will be held in the city today (Saturday), reports BSS.
Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate the conference at Suhrawardy Udyan at 11am.
Later, the new central committee nomination of the trade union body will be held at the council session at the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB) auditorium at 3pm. Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman founded the BJSL, the largest labour organisation in the country, on October 12 in 1969.
Besides, a number of foreign guests including labour leaders, will participate in the programme.
