Sri Lanka elect to bat against West Indies

Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to bat against West Indies in the first semifinal of the World T20 at the Shere Bangla National Stadium, Mirpur in Dhaka on Thursday. Lasith Malinga is leading the Sri Lankan team in the absence of Dinesh Chandimal. While Sri Lanka have replaced Thisara Perera with Seekkuge Prasanna, West Indies remain unchanged. Spinners are likely to dominate in increasingly hot conditions in what is a repeat of the 2012 final, which was won by West Indies, according to a news agency.
