Sri Lanka win gold in Men's 170 km cycling

KHULNA, Feb 2 (BSS): Cycling Event of 11th South Asian Games 2010 was completed here today through Sri Lanka notched the gold in Men's 170 km Road Race Mass Start.
India who showed the supremacy on last three days had to remain satisfied with silver while the Pakistan cyclist secured bronze medal.
Sri Lanka, India and Pakistan athletes Janka Hemanth Gongalage, Rajender Bishnoi and Nisar Ahmed took 4 hour 48 minutes 34 seconds each on the way to gold, silver and bronze medal respectively.
When asked about the same timing of the three winners, Panel of Commissar told BSS, though the three winners took same time on the way to success their wheel of cycle touched the finishing line first, second and third.
During the competition two Sri Lanka athlete's Dane Stave Nugara and Sudeera Nilanga Weerasoor and Uddin Ekhtiar of Bangladesh received injury while skidded off the road.

Athletes of India Team: 1. Amandeep Singh, 2. Harpreet Singh, 3. Bikram Singh Okram and 4. Sabu Ganajer.
Athletes of Pakistan Team: 1. Haroon Rashid 2.Muhammed Rafique 3. Abul Ahad and 4.Sabir Sabir.
Athletes of Sri Lanka Team: 1.Chaminda Meem Perera and 2. Premachandra Suwarise. The Athelets of Afghanistan Team: 1. Hashmatullah Barekzai and 2. Hassan Mukaram.
