Sri Lankan Army Chief meets Gen Mubeen

A delegation led by Sri Lankan Army Chief Lt Gen Jagath Jayasuriya paid a courtesy call on Bangladesh Army Chief General Mohammad Abdul Mubeen at army headquarters in the city on Wednesday, reports UNB.
Matters of professional interest were discussed during the meeting, said an ISPR release.
Earlier, Jagath Jayasuriya placed wreath at Shikha Anirban in Dhaka Cantonment to pay homage to armed forces members martyred in the liberation war.
A smartly turned out contingent of army gave him a guard of honour at Senakunja. He planted a sapling there.
Later, Sri Lankan Army Chief called on Principal Staff Officer of Armed Forces Division Major General Abdul Wadud at AFD, Dhaka Cantonment. He discussed matters of professional interests with him.
