Sri Lankan Army Chief returns home

Sri Lankan Chief of Army Staff Lt Gen GSC Fonseka left Dhaka Friday after a four-day visit to Bangladesh, reports UNB.
He was accompanied by his wife Anoma Indumathi Fonseka and a seven-member military delegation.
On behalf of Chief of Army Staff, Bangladesh Army, Quarter Master General Lt. Gen Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury saw him off at the Zia International Airport on the day.
Sri Lankan High Commissioner in Bangladesh V Krishna Moorthy was also present.
During his visit in Bangladesh, General Fonseka placed wreath at Shikha Anirban in Dhaka Cantonment.
His programmes also included courtesy call on President Iajuddin Ahmed at Bangabhaban.
He also called on the three Service Chiefs at their respective offices.
